Randy has been a life long pet owner and became involved in rescue years ago when he and his wife began fostering the first of many dogs for various rescues. Five years ago, he and his wife fostered a semi-feral dog named Jo that stayed with them for three months while they worked to socialize her, getting some much-needed weight on her and vetted before she went on a transport to the rescue in Wisconsin they were fostering for.
While Jo was in transit Randy realized she was meant to be part of their family and before Jo arrived in Wisconsin, he called the rescue and asked them to put a hold on her until he could get to Wisconsin to adopt her. Three days later, Randy started the 1100-mile one-way trek to Wisconsin to adopt and bring Jo back home where she belonged. Jo is a very loved and important part of their lives now. From there his passion for rescue became a mission as well.
Throughout the years Randy has helped many rescues as a foster parent, a transporter and now Event
Coordination and Support to his repertoire since becoming a Board Member with SouthPaw Boxer
