Miller

Old Brindle Boxer | 2 Years | 70 Ibs

Adoption Fee: $350

Hi, I’m Miller. You probably saw my picture a couple weeks ago when SouthPaw Boxer Rescue pulled me from a 3 month stint in Boarding. Geez, that sure drove me nuts being in a confined space for that long. I couldn’t figure out for the life of me why I was there and no one was coming for me but now I’m safe and loving life in this nice, comfy home and now I’m ready to find my forever family. I’m a 2 year old brindle Boxer with a natural tail. I think the natural tail gives me more ‘character’ if ya know what I mean.

When I got sprung from jail, I mean the Boarding Facility, my foster mom (she’s so good to me ❤) noticed I seemed to have some discomfort in my hip and she wasn’t sure if it was from laying on the cement floor at that Boarding place or not  so we went to the Vet so they could take a look and get an X-Ray. The nice Vet Lady (she’s pretty sweet too ) said I have some mild hip dysplasia but it’s manageable with daily exercise, some anti-inflammatories when I get uncomfortable  and that I need to lose a few pounds. I’m not really happy about that ’cause I LOVE to eat. Foster mom had to put a ball in the middle of my bowl to slow me down but I showed her I’m too smart to let that stop me. I just picked that ‘ol ball up and laid it aside and went right on eating. She said I’m too smart. The vet also told my foster mom that I’m a little chunky weighing in at 70 lbs and I could stand to lose a few pounds with some mild exercise (walking preferred, no hikes please) and good quality dog food but a little less than foster mom’s been feeding me.

I walk well on a leash and I’m house house broken and crate trained. I get along with other dogs with slow introductions. I love to cuddle and I’m quite the talker when you stop giving him attention or you’re slow getting my dinner! Foster mom says I’d do best with a family with older kids because I don’t realize how strong I am and would probably be too much for younger kids to handle.

I really am the Total Package. I think you should hurry up and get your adoption applicatication and tell ’em you want ME, as in my name is Miller.  Please hurry ’cause I’m ready to be in my own home. Isn’t that what everyone wants? Their own home. I hope to meet you soon!
